Keflavik airport is actually a pretty comfortable one when you have hours to spend waiting

Sitting here, sipping an oat milk cappuccino after sucking down a pouch of Icelandic Skyr, tapping at the keyboard whilst I prepare the promotional materials for a September Equine MSTR® course in Selfoss, Iceland. This is a very exciting time for this work- evolving the scar therapy program in Iceland for horses is a big deal. Have you heard? There are a LOT of beautiful Icelandic Horses here and I am lucky enough to be involved in working with them on this level. I've spent the past 8 days revisiting some of the horses I already know, giving Thai Massage to humans and planning future events both here and elsewhere.

The 2027 calender is in the works... and we're only just 4 months into 2026. Breathe! One thing I love about what I do? Meeting people, helping them find the ease in their bodies they thought they had lost, or a part of themselves that was missing somehow.... conversations with people of all sorts who feel open to speak and think freely, honestly. I find that here. It's beautiful how the Icelandic people have welcomed me into their homes, communities and inner circles. So- September can not come quick enough in that respect!

In between then and now, I have a lot going on locally- in my office and with my family. My client schedule is full and for that I am grateful. My family is soon to located all on the same coast- making the traveling Granny Nanny gig a much easier task! MSTR® and AoB course schedules are increasingly busy as well- (I'll be jumping back in full on- with 3 online classes this weekend.) I'll try to breathe.

Have you been breathing? How's that going for you? If you could, just take a moment to notice what your breathing feels like- in your body, your brain, the rhythm of your heart. Then: exhale fully- let all that air go until you feel the natural urge to rebound into the next breath. Receive it fully, and then pull in little more- allowing your ribs the 3D expansion they crave. Notice that subtle pause at the top of your inhalation and then... let.... it....go....... What does that feel like? Keep going. Of course- none of this Icelandic experience would be possible without the aide of my friend/collegue, Paula Esson. Her 25 years of building connections and learning of the ways of the people and the land here provide the necessary link to my own expansion in Iceland. Without that, I'd not have had a "non-tourist" introduction, nor the opportunity to meet the lovely people I now call friends. I am so grateful.

Post treatment- Everybody is happy and content

2025 was a fantastic year- one that reminded me that I was still in the game! As a bodyworker, as a person living on the planet who wants to know more about all the things, meet people and have FUN! Enter 2026! The Year of the Fire Horse! No need to "Whoa Nelly!" Instead it's "Off we go! Ride 'em cowgirl!" What in the heck am I even talking about? Well, as you may, or may not know- I'm a lifelong equine steward, rider, friend and former trainer with a college degree in Equestrian Science. Most of that landed on the back burner in 2013 when my soul mare died, and then ceased having my own horses on property 2 years ago when we lost our old man Ruben. He lived into his 40's. Like I said, "old man".... I do take good care of my critters! Enter Equine MSTR®. I've been teaching this virtually on an international basis for quite some time now, and I donate my services to horses in need. But I do not practice equine manual therapy professionally. Let's be clear about that. I am not licensed in my home state to practice professionally. At age 65 the idea of going back to school is a daunting concept. While it enters my mind, it's only a fleeting thought..... After all, I am "semi-retired"

Then I went to Iceland. For a week this January, I learned more about the Icelandic Horses (which I've crushed on for EVER), met 6 of them and treated their scars and bonded with Margret Einarsdottir at Halakot Horse Stables, near Selfoss. The results were amazing and the owners were thrilled. So was I! Looks like I'll be going back. There's a video, created by Paula Esson, on my Equine MSTR® page which you can watch if you like- it shows me doing this and that and the horse walking around a lot- but it gives you the gist of how a session just might go. Since that time I'm one track minded- signing up for Icelandic Horse riding lessons locally, planning my next trip and prepping to teach an in person Equine  MSTR® in the fall- in Iceland!

The year of the Fire Horse is kicking off and driven by the winds of excitement. My son says "You don't have to keep working Mom, but if you are having fun, then keep doing". It is fun. Loving what I do, the clients I see, the classes I teach and the international team that is MSTR®. Humans and Equines alike. Carry on Fire Horse! This year is OURS!

I used to live here- in Southern California. For two decades at least. I return frequently- to see both family and clients. The family grew, the clients turned into friends, more so than clients. The family grew more, and the opportunity to see the client/friends decreased. A beautiful flow of life. Last week I made a spontaneous decision to jump down from my home in the PNW (NW Washington State) to So Cal- flying into Ontario this time, instead of LAX. One of those "client/friends" had been offering his Airbnb to me for a long time- and when he said it was available for my dates I said "YES"! This is the perfect landing pad that I am writing to you from right now. Sonney SoCal Escape Airbnb. At this exact moment I have a Glaswegian and who is in Alicante, Spain- working on my website automations- with my friend Paula who is a Brit, lives in NI but is also in Alicante! It's mind blowing how small this world can truly is. We can be tackling a task on one continent with someone on another continent- never mind the timezones.... or the drinks in hand! They're drinking alcohol and I'm still chugging my first cup of coffee at 7 am! The type of beverage they are drinking may well have an interesting impact on the efficacy of the work they are volunteering to do on my/your behalf! I digress!--this post was intended to be about family/client/friends- California! It was absolutely POURING down rain when I arrived on Thursday at midnight... it continuied to rain hard for the next day- whilst I was driving to LA from the IE. The air smells so good- but the rains have gone now and we are left with beautiful, clear skies. This makes me ponder why I left the southland in the first place! But it's grand to visit my family here, grandchildren and these other people. Yesterday long time supporters of mine gathered for a day of CRAFTING! Such delighful fun to see how far we have come in relationship over the years. Cindy and Tina. You all know Tina- by way of the fact that she designed my Logo decades ago. Oh how it has morphed with color and dimension: mosaic, wood carving, painted on rocks, stickers, coffee mugs, of course the usual advertising aspects of a logo :). I am always grateful. Here are some of the results of the past 24 hours in photo form:
