MSTR® Level 1 – Practitioner Training MSTR® Level 1 is the foundational hands-on course that teaches you the McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release® method — a gentle, non-invasive technique used worldwide to improve mobility, sensation, and function in clients with surgical, traumatic, and burn scars. What You Will Learn The anatomy and physiology of scar tissue How scars affect movement, circulation, nerve function, and emotional health How to safely assess scars and identify contraindications Step-by-step instruction in the full MSTR® technique How to integrate MSTR® into existing clinical practice This course includes lecture, demonstration, supervised practice, and a full printed manual. Who May Attend You must be a licensed or insured manual therapy professional, such as: Massage therapist, physiotherapist, osteopath, chiropractor Medical doctor, nurse, midwife, occupational therapist Clinical yoga/Pilates therapist, equine/canine bodyworker (where allowed) You are not eligible if your only qualifications are in non-manual disciplines such as nutrition, reiki, counseling, energy work, hypnosis, NLP, or similar. Qualification Requirements To become a Certified MSTR® Practitioner, you must: Attend the full Level 1 training Complete a 20-question exam (open book) Submit case studies demonstrating safe use of the technique Upon approval, you will receive a Certificate of Qualification and be listed in the international practitioner directory. You must complete Level 1 certification before enrolling in Level 2. MSTR® Level 1 gives you a powerful, evidence-based method to help clients move and feel better — often immediately.
